Rhonda VincentIt’s about time! After years of planning, the first ever Gospel music project by Rhonda Vincent Sunday Mornin’ Singin’ is finally here! The project released by Upper Management Music is available on CD or as a performance DVD. The set features a core group of songs on both formats; along with varying songs on each. The Historic Blairstown Theatre will bring Rhonda Vincent & The Rage to the stage Thursday, march 7, 2013.

Sunday Mornin’ Singin’ was filmed and recorded simultaneously at the Greentop Methodist Church — the same church Rhonda attended as a child and received a 5-year pin for perfect Sunday school attendance.

Rhonda Vincent grew up in Northern Missouri in the tiny town of Greentop as the 5th generation of the musical Vincent Family. She began her broadcasting experience at age 3, performing on her family’s local TV & Radio Shows as The Sally Mountain Show. Sunday Mornin’ Singin’ brings Rhonda Vincent full circle – transcending her musical way of life into a successful career, and the coronation as the NEW Queen of Bluegrass, as proclaimed by the WALL STREET JOURNAL.

She’s an artist at the Top of her Game with multiple Grammy nominations, 5 consecutive Entertainer of the Year Awards from the Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music of America, and an unprecedented 7 consecutive Female Vocalist of the Year Awards from the International Bluegrass Music Association. And when you add up the lifetime of accolades bestowed upon Rhonda and her band The Rage; they emerge as the Most Awarded Band in Bluegrass Music, with over 80 awards!

The cover image of Sunday Mornin’ Singin’ displays Rhonda in her most natural and comfortable setting; projecting her God given beauty in tandem with her amazing musicianship as a multi-instrumentalist.

A symbolic preview to the authenticity portrayed throughout the imagery and audio of this outstanding collection of songs.

Just as Rhonda and her family opened their voices to sing in church; Rhonda and her band The Rage share their incredible talents with a sincere love of the Lord, giving witness through their music and songs.

You’ll find hymnal favorites such as The Old Rugged Cross and Just As I Am along-side newly penned songs like Blue Sky Cathedral, Silent Partner, and

Help Me To Be More Like Him. While featured guests join in on the DVD, the CD features only Rhonda and the Rage.

A highlight of both projects is an A cappella song titled His Promised Land written by Rhonda Vincent & Nashville songster Lisa Shaffer. Ironically, Rhonda began writing this modern day Amazing Grace several years ago while visiting Las Vegas.

The lively spiritual God Put A Rainbow In The Clouds was specially arranged to feature Rhonda along with stand out vocal parts by each member of The Rage.

This award winning group utilizes every ounce of talent and versatility; to produce a project of modern Christian music along with high energy performances of Traditional Bluegrass Gospel Music. You will discover there’s something for everyone, as you enjoy the simplistic styles to the sophisticated arrangements.

You can feel the honest integrity within the beauty of Rhonda’s angelic voice. Her vocal clarity is unique, unmatched and instantly recognizable. The All American Bluegrass Girl lives the life she sings about. Her loyalty displayed through her 28 year marriage; and 10 year sponsorship with Martha White, which allowed her the distinct honor of traveling in the historical Martha White Bluegrass Express. An honor she deeply appreciates, along with the many blessings God has granted upon her life.

This project is the epitome of Rhonda Vincent. Growing up playing music with her family, to the musicians she met along the way that shaped her sound and the very person she is. This project celebrates the culmination of family values coupled with a passion for the music, continuous hard work, and the development of a career that many artists use as a template.

Though life may not be a scorecard, Rhonda Vincent receives high marks for her music and the highest regard for her human race. You will find her love and kindness here; as she returns to her hometown for a Sunday Mornin’ Singin’!
