Blazin Bluegrass Scholarship Applications Being Accepted

Blazin Bluegrass ScholarshipsBlazin Bluegrass Scholarship Applications are now being accepted from McCreary County Students and McCreary County Musicians who have the desire to further their education in Bluegrass Music.

Applications can be found online at our web site: or by sending a email to (Scholarship Application) must be the subject line and provide a valid name & address to send a application to.

Applications Schedule:

  • Jan 4th 2013 – March 1st 2013 Open to McCreary County Residents Only
  • March 1st 2013 – May 15th 2013 Open to all Kentucky Residents

All interested candidates are encouraged to submit an application for consideration for the scholarship.

The Blazin Bluegrass Festival Scholarship Fund is designed to aid talented & motivated individuals with furthering their education in the Bluegrass Field by offering assistance scholarships to help committed individuals in obtaining a degree in Folk Art Music at the Hazard Independent Technical Collage in Hazard Kentucky.

The Folk Art Music Program is run by Dean Osborne who is also the Dean of the Collage. Selected candidates will be given a grand tour of the collage by Dean Osborne who will give them the insight on just what it takes to full fill the commitment to obtain a degree in the program.

The Blazin Bluegrass Scholarship Fund is made possible by our Scholarship Fund Sponsors, Festival Sponsors ( Business, Organizations, Individuals), Organizers and Volunteers who enable us to continue the Blazin Bluegrass Festival each year.
