The Queen of Bluegrass, Rhonda Vincent, and her team are proud to announce the latest CD from Rhonda Vincent Sunday Mornin' Singin' LIVE! on Upper Management Music reached the top spot on the Billboard Bluegrass Charts this week! The all-gospel project, released on July 10, 2012, was recorded and filmed at Vincent's hometown church in Greentop, Missouri at The Greentop Methodist Church.
"I was thrilled when it was released nationally, given the very personal nature of this project," Rhonda shares. "Our focus was to inspire the listener with specially chosen gospel songs that bring a positive message." "I can't believe it's a #1, this makes me so happy!"
Filmed and recorded in a 100 year old church. They were met with numerous challenges during the process, but the Wall Street Journal's New Queen of Bluegrass is known for her studious work in overcoming obstacles.
"We created this project in June 2011, and the church doesn't have air conditioning. So it was 100 degrees at any given time in the church while we recorded and filmed," Rhonda explains. "It was one of the most difficult projects, but definitely the most rewarding." "Our hope is that the message of the songs bring something special to the life of everyone that hear it." "We have a DVD that is still in process, and hopefully released in a few months."
Sunday Mornin' Singin' LIVE! contains 16 songs, comprised of new songs, familiar hymns, and new arrangements of gospel material recorded on Vincent's earlier projects. Rhonda and her award winning band The Rage are exclusively featured on the CD project. The DVD will include nine additional songs not on the CD, which showcase special guests: legendary guitarist Bob Saxton and seven year old fiddler Carson Peters.
Rhonda Vincent & The Rage perform until the holiday season begins. They will be home with their families during the holidays, then start 2013 out West.
