Americana Honors and Awards Returns to the Ryman Oct 13

Americana Music AssociationNashville, TN -- Americana Music Association's annual Honors & Awards program returns to the Ryman Oct. 13. Among the artists slated to appear are: Jim Lauderdale and Buddy Miller, Robert Plant and the Band of Joy, Gregg Allman, Hayes Carll, The Civil Wars, Elizabeth Cook, Justin Townes Earle, Jessica Lea Mayfield, The Secret Sisters & more. Tickets go on sale today, Friday, July 29 at 10:00 a.m. and are available by clicking here.

The Americana Music Association's marquis event, the Americana Honors & Awards Show will once again be hosted by the iconic Jim Lauderdale, while the All Star Band will be led by the phenomenal Buddy Miller.

Each year the Americana Music Association honors distinguished members of the music community. Six member-voted awards and several Lifetime Achievement Awards are handed out while over 2000 artists, music-loving fans and entertainment industry executives look on.

The Honors & Awards have featured many amazing moments over the years. Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash’s last live performance was on the Americana stage. Artists such as The Carolina Chocolate Drops. Robert Plant & His Band of Joy, Steve Earle & Allison Moorer, Rosanne Cash and John Fogerty have brought our audience’s to their feet.

Presented by the Gibson Foundation, the Honors & Awards are attended by over 2000 artists, music loving fans and entertainment industry executives in one of America's musical shrines, the historic Ryman Auditorium. The event has been broadcast internationally via Sirius/XM Radio, BBC2, WSM and Voice of America.

The Honors & Awards have featured many amazing moments over the years including Johnny Cash & June Carter Cash's last live performance together, as well as show-stopping appearances by John Fogerty, Lyle Lovett, Rosanne Cash, Solomon Burke, Old Crow Medicine Show, Emmylou Harris, Rodney Crowell, the Avett Brothers, Mavis Staples, Robert Plant, Patty Griffin, Guy Clark, Levon Helm, and so many more.
