16th Suwannee Springfest - 4 Days of Great Music and Camping

Suwannee Springfest 2012Suwannee Springfest is only one day away. The festival features four outstanding days of bluegrass, acoustic and Americana roots music from Yonder Mountain String Band, Donna The Buffalo, Tony Rice, Greensky Bluegrass, Justin Townes Earle, Emmitt-Nershi Band, Hot Buttered Rum, Guy Clark, Verlon Thompson, The Gourds, Darol Anger & The Republic of Strings, Jim Lauderdale, and many more. Of course, there's always enough camping and jamming to go around for those who come to pick.

Live Oak Music & Arts Foundation will host it's annual Suwannee Springfest raffle to raise funds for our music education programs. Suwannee Springfest knows that you want to buy lots of raffle tickets, which are now $2 each donation, so bring those address stickers that come in the mail and save yourself some time! Prizes range from a Sugarloaf Open-Back Banjo to a Hammock to tickets to 2013 Suwannee events.

Live Oak Music & Arts Foundation is excited to announce it's newest project, a sponsorship of Suwannee Spirit Kids Music Camp, which holds quarterly free kids music camps at Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park. Come by the raffle booth to get more information on the camp and support music education by purchasing lots of raffle tickets!

Music festival Suwannee Springfest will mark its 16th anniversary in 2012. The festival has been continuously produced at North Florida's Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park near the farming town of Live Oak. Well-known and highly-regarded among discerning fans & media, the event consistently features some of the world's finest performers in New & Traditional Folk, Roots Rock, Bluegrass & Newgrass, Singer/Songwriter, Acoustic Blues, Cajun/Zydeco, and other forms of American Roots music. Those musical sub-genres are now collectively referred to as Americana music, a style growing rapidly in acceptance & popularity which generally incorporates respect for & recognition of traditional music forms presented through a completely contemporary framework & approach

If you don't have your tickets yet, you can still save money by getting them online through Thursday, March 22nd at the advance rate. The gate price begins when the gate opens, so get them before Friday online and get the advance price! Also, if ticket price or time off work is an issue, check out the Saturday/Sunday pass which includes 2 nights of camping and 2 days of music. It is available at the gate beginning Saturday for $115.

Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park is located at 3076 95th Drive, Live Oak, Florida between Jacksonville, Florida & Tallahassee, Florida about 30 minutes south of the Georgia State line. The park is about 45 minutes north of Gainesville.
